Privacy policy
Edit Videos is designed so the videos you edit stay on your device. Accounts and analytics use a small, separate data service; media processing does not.
Your videos stay local
Video, audio, images, captions and exported results are processed inside your browser. We do not upload or store those files on our servers. Some AI tools download public model files so they can run locally, but your media is not sent with those requests.
Account data
If you create an account, we store your email address, a one-way password hash, security sessions and the tool slugs you mark as favorites. We never store your plain-text password. Password reset links expire after one hour.
Feedback messages
When you send feedback, we receive the message type, message text, current page and basic browser details. If you are signed in, your account email is included so we can reply. Feedback is delivered through Resend and never includes your video, filename or media content.
Product analytics
We record page visits, selected tool identifiers, file-selection counts, export formats, favorites and account events so we can improve the product. Analytics never includes media files, filenames or media contents. We also mirror product events to Google Analytics 4.
Local browser data
Anonymous favorites, recent tools, editor preferences and analytics visitor/session identifiers may be stored in your browser. Signed-in favorites are synced to your account; recent tools remain local to the browser.
Contact and deletion
Use the Feedback button to request a copy or deletion of account data. We may retain limited security or legal records where required.
